[info]best_blogger

Walking is one of the best and most effective physical exercises which not only help in reducing weight or burning calories but are also good for overall health and well-being. In order to get a fit and healthy body, one should look no further than the humble walking since it is a natural process that does not cost anything as opposed to various other exercises which require expensive equipments or health supplements.

Obesity, like a pandemic disease, is now a global problem that needs to be tackled in the best possible manner. A lot of people tackle it using passive methods such as swallowing some pills or changing the diets or even sweating it off on fancy equipments but those who want to lose weight the healthy way choose to include walking in their daily schedule for getting rid of the flab.

The first thing that one should arrange for when it comes to incorporating walking in one’s schedule is a good pair of walking shoes, which should be very comfortable. This can be teamed with a nice pair of comfortable socks and a loose fitting outfit, headphones being optional. Outdoor spaces like a jogging track or a park is perfect for walking and exercising.

Because of the fact that walking does not require as much energy as active exercises such as aerobics, its effects cannot be experienced overnight and one will be able to see the change only after sometime. Hence it would be advisable to walk consistently each day without being impatient and giving up in the initial stages because the body’s metabolism takes time to accept and absorb the new workout routine in order to burn calories.

In order to experience permanent and astonishing results, one should follow a routine of thirty minutes of walking daily or alternatively four days in a week, either outdoors or indoors for two months. Some of the other perks along the way are stimulation of blood circulation, toned up abdomen and hips and adieu to joint problems.

Our heart beats continuously from the first moment of birth to the last moment till we die. Therefore maintaining a healthy heart is absolutely essential to keep ourselves healthy for a long time to come. A few essentials to keep in mind while maintaining a healthy heart include keeping cholesterol levels under check, eating correct foods, and doing plenty of exercises. A regular work out on a daily basis is required to keep the heart healthy.

The first step towards ensuring the good health of one’s heart entails keeping track and maintaining the cholesterol levels in the blood. Since excessive cholesterol can only cause harm, a diet featuring the fiber-rich oatmeal, sources of Omega 3 fatty acids like tablets and fish and nuts is strongly recommended for keeping the blood vessels free of cholesterol.

While adding in the supplements is going to help increase your hearts health, diet and exercise play an important part in helping you fight off cholesterol and heart disease.

If you’ve been looking for some type of food plan or exercise plan to help you become more fit and healthy, I highly recommend The Truth About Abs Mike Geary has created online. The thing about Mike’s program is that he covers dieting from all angles, and while you are working on losing weight, you’re going to be improving your heart too. It’s not just about six pack abs, Mike’s program is so much more.

Walking is the best exercise to improve one’s heart rate as also the flow of blood throughout the body and it helps to burn calories which is a nice added benefit. While walking, the objective is to maintain a brisk pace continuously throughout the duration of the walk. This helps to get the heart pumping. A daily walk for a period of one hour keeps the heart healthy. If one does not have the habit of walking a lot, then it is essential to pace oneself every night.

Pilates is a great exercise program that will keep the body in shape. The great thing about this program is not how many repetitions you do but how well you do the exercises. The program is able to show you the proper way to strengthen your core muscles. You may not think Pilates can get the heart pumping but it does and you will feel great afterwards.

Another exercise program that you could do is Yoga. Yoga is a form of meditation that unites the body, mind and spirit together. You will be shown the proper poses in order to create the proper balance in yourself. This program will also help to keep a healthy heart while getting the body in shape over time.

My Success Story so Far in 2010 Weight Loss
[info]best_blogger
Ever since the beginning of this year I've wanted to lose weight, which includes ridding the body fat  by eating a lesser amount of  processed foods, watching the fat content and adding in exercise and so forth. While I would love to see this weight come off super fast, I'm happy with my results so far as it's not been too painful to do.

My friend watches DR. OZ always and during the time I was at her house I began to get into this show as well. In fact, Dr. Oz is one rather dandy physician. I have been doing my best to work in some of his suggestions from his show.

Lowering my fat content and lowering the degree of bread in my diet has helped. Oh, also I do watch for sugar content and aim to stay as low as I can. I have this one protein bar that flabbergasted me when I read it has 29 grams of sugar. It's so much sugar in that bar that I'm wondering how they fit anything else in it.

If you don't know how much sugar that is, consider adding 7 tablespoons of sugar into a cup and that's about how much sugar is in that protein bar.

Instead of these types of bars my husband and I are going to begin making beef jerky. Too expensive to buy at the store, but not so bad if you do it on your own.

I've lost almost 30 lbs this year. Took me all year just about, but it's still coming off and I'm happy.

how to lose calories fast

Every year, on January 1st, one of the most common resolutions made is to get into better shape or lose weight. Unfortunately, many people make this resolution but do not follow through, probably because it just gets to be too hard and tedious. What many of these people don’t realize is that it really isn’t that difficult if you really put your mind to it and stick to a committed plan. All you have to understand, at least in the beginning, is that losing weight is more about losing calories, or at least losing the calories that do you no good. Therefore, eating right and getting more exercise truly is the beginning of the new you.

With this in mind, you need to remember that when you work out, you will burn calories in order to produce the energy you need. However, you will not necessarily lose weight if you are doing a lot of heavy lifting. No, what you need to do, if you are trying to lose weight, is more aerobic exercises. This helps you to lose calories without priming your muscles to repair and bulk up. When you learn how to lose calories this way, you will be able to take more control of your body weight but you will also find that your muscles are leaner and you will have more energy.

Ironically, part of losing calories is taking in more calories. When you want to lose weight, you need to eat enough healthy food and calories to compensate for the amount of energy you are going to expend. While your body will burn through the fat calories you have stored up, you will also need to make sure that you are getting enough lean protein and other nutrients so that you don’t exhaust your systems. A healthy diet is the beginning of a healthy lifestyle so the sooner you can make this transition, the better off you will be.
Now, since a healthy diet is indeed the beginning of a healthy lifestyle, increased activity and regular exercise is what will help maintain it. Although eating right can be difficult, most people actually find that it is easier than finding the time to get enough exercise. While taking in the right kind of food helps you to lose calories, the most efficient way to shape up quickly and effectively is by making time to exercise. While getting your heart rate up every day is ideal, you can still get results even if you only work out a few days a week. You can even lift some dumbbells or do some sit-ups or push-ups while you watch the news in the morning, for example. Again, it doesn’t take much every day, so long as you do something every day.

Obviously, losing calories isn’t easy, but it also doesn’t have to be difficult. You can learn how to make smarter, healthier food choices and you can learn how to better budget your time. It is more a matter of will power and commitment than it is about work. You know you are going to eat every day and you know that you will be moving around; now it’s just a matter of making the most of these things every chance that you get. Before long, you’ll see that it was really nothing at all!
